Velcorian began in our family kitchen, solving a problem we never realized was so common.

As a father of two and husband to a passionate cook, I’ve seen firsthand the frustration caused by chopping boards. My wife loved cooking but dreaded the upkeep of wooden boards, which always ended up warped, cracked, and useless after a year – especially when they "accidentally" found their way into the dishwasher. Plastic boards weren’t much better; they looked cheap, wore out quickly, and raised concerns about microplastics in our food.

Out of necessity, I set out to create something better – a chopping board that combined the elegance of wood with the practicality of plastic, but without the drawbacks of either. After months of research and testing, Velcorian was born.
